It's always the director who discovers their hero has a 'golden voice'. Remember Susi Ganeshan? While making Kanthaswamy, he made Vikram sing all the songs because he thought the actor's voice better suited the character of the film.
Similarly, director Sakthivel noticed his hero Nakul humming to Viveka's (of Kanthaswamy fame) lyrics at the recording studio. So he decided to let Nakul sing the song Eppadiye ennul kathal vandadu..., which will be picturised on him and Poorna. The song will be shot in New Zealand.
