AMMA's legal notice against Sukumar Azhikode

AMMA, the artist association of Malayalam cinema has served a legal notice to Dr. Sukumar Azhikode, for making insulting statements against its members. Dr. Azhikode, the most famous orator from the state has earlier joined in the lines of Thilakan, and in order to offer support to the veteran actor has engaged in verbal tussles with many AMMA members, including superstar Mohanlal. Azhikode has also repeatedly protested against offering a D.Litt to Lal and also making the superstar, famous for endorsing liquor brands, the brand ambassador of the Khadi products in the state.

Meanwhile, the State Human Rights Commission has directed Mohanlal and AMMA President Innocent to appear before the Labour Commission today, in connection with the Thilakan issue. In reply to a complaint filed by Sreekumar Nooranadu, about an alleged ban on actor Thilakan, the commission will hear from AMMA officials today before 10.30, about whether there is any kind of such ban which prevents the veteran from engaging in a profession.
