NRI Sohan Roy's Hollywood movie Dam 999, set in the backdrop of India, has completed its shoot in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad and is planned for release in December, 2010.
"The set raised for the climax sequence in Ramoji was the most crucial and expensive set constructed by veteran art director Thotta Tharani. Like the famous saying 'All that goes well, ends well', the shoot didn’t require a rebuild of the whole set, which would have definitely turned out to be a real disaster for the makers of Dam 999," a press note said.
"Dam 999, produced by Biz TV Network, is a classic emotional thriller, an attempt to highlight the unseen beauty of the maritime world in the backdrop of rich Indian culture. A cluster of concepts, Dam 999 intends to imprint the Vedic concept of Navarasas and Navagrahas along with the magical curing power of Ayurveda in its characters and situations. It speaks about a colonial dam, its disaster, the 9 characters and their emotions," the press note further said.
