Sexy siren Charmi's career began in 2010 with veteran Malayalam director Kamal's Dileep starrer Aagathan, which received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. The actress has not opened her account in Tollywood yet, but she is busy with two big ticket films: Sye Aata and Mangala.
While talking about these flicks, Charmi said: "In Sye Aata, I play a choreographer; working with 12 kids was truly enriching as I could relate to their innocence and honesty. Mangala is different, it’s a horror flick."
For the last three years, Charmi has been doing only women-oriented films. On being the torchbearer of women-oriented films, she said: "Frankly, I have no choice since I am getting only author-backed roles and the terrain is tough. No doubt it’s a tough mission but I am in no mood to give up, although many of my colleagues have changed tracks to repeat themselves. Probably I am destined to be a torchbearer."
The actress admitted that she missed onscreen romance with stars for three years and would now love to have some fun, play some pranks and feel relieved of the burden of carrying a film on her shoulders. Let’s hope Charmi appears in romantic flicks too.
