Tamil film Kandasamy is under production. Chiyaan Vikram and Shriya playing the lead roles. As per sources, this film would be of Indian version of "Robin Hood" type of movies. This movie is produced bilingual and in Telugu they titled as "Mallanna". Kanthasamy directed by Susi Ganesan and produced by Kalaipuli Dhanu. The crew had spent nearly Rs 15,000 for every single invitation for the official launch of the movie. The electronic invitation made in china was the main attraction among the guests at the time of launch. Devi Sri Prasad compose music for the film and this film is a big one for Devi. The film would reach theatres on May. Director Susi planned to shoot the film in Kenya but due to local problems in Kenya the cast and crew went on to Mexico to suit major song sequences. The Mexican locations will be new to Tamil film fans. Indrajith, elder brother of Hero actor Prithviraj, playing the Villain role and it would be an added advantage to the film as Tamil fans seeing the same Villains for years.
Kandaswamy producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, has decided to go really big with Kandaswamy. He is known for his grand methods of publicizing a film. He knows how important it is to promote a film right. Kandaswamy has Cheeyan Vikram in the lead roles with director Susi Ganeshan at the helm. The film has a huge budget of 40 crore rupees.
The producer has decided to go ahead with lavish invitations for the films screening. These invitations will be designed in the shape of a laptop. He is rumoured to spend almost a crore on these invitations only. He has engaged the services of a Chinese company, which has experts who know how to do it.
The invitation will have all the details of the trailer and the stills from the movie. It will be similar to a computer. We asked the PRO of the film about this and he said, "There is a lot of news about the publicity campaign of the film that is getting around. It is true that we have decided to design the invitation at a huge cost. Nothing has been decided yet about the invitations though. We will know about them only at the end of the month."
He added. "Whatever it is, the invitation will be a never done before thing in Tamil Cinema. The movie"s shooting will start during the middle of August."
