Souparnika’s Menaka Sureshkumar produced Play House distributed Neelathamara gets ready for release this Friday (Nov 20). The film is a remake of the 1979 classic hit, written by M.T. Vasudevan Nair and directed by Yusaf Ali Kechery.
In the 2009 version newcomer Archana is playing Ambika's role of Kunjimalu, around whom the story revolves. Kailash has essayed Ravi Kumar's role of Haridas. Ambika's brother Suresh has donned the villain's role of Appukuttan, originally done by Sathar while Samvritha Sunil does the role of Ratnam.
Vidyasagar’s music is already a rage among the youth which would help it to get an opening. Lal Jose and the legendary script writer MT are coming together for the first time which would make it a treat for the audiences.
