Surya to stun the audience in 'Maatraan'

Surya has been surprising fans with new looks in all his films. Be it Ghajini's six pack abs or old-age getup in Vaaranam Aayiram. In fact, the audience have got used to it and they have started expecting something new from his films. To keep his fans happy, the actor is continuing the trend in his next film Maatraan.

Earlier, there were reports that Surya would be seen in the role of Siamese twins. But KV Anand cleared the rumours that he is not playing the role of conjoined twins rather the actor will don five different getups. Now, it seems like that the director has increased that number to 20. Yes, the Rakta Charitra star will reportedly have 20 different looks in Maatraan.

KV Anand is currently busy in Maatraan pre-production works and he is also busy consulting a few top class costume designers to give Surya a variety of looks in the film. He has roped in Kajal Aggarwal to pair the actor in the upcoming Tamil movie. He has retained his Ayan crew for this movie as well.

7am Arivu worldwide release!

It’ll be a worldwide release for 7am Arivu, said Udayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies. The producer has said that he intends to release the film throughout the world simultaneously. This news will certainly have Surya's fans excited.

The film’s post production works are going on and it will take some more time to be wrapped up. Meanwhile, the audio launch is scheduled to be held in June but the date has not been finalized as yet.

7am Arivu is directed by AR Murugadoss and stars Surya and Shruti Haasan in the lead.

Surya's cricket craze

Actor Surya has become a big cricket and CSK fan post the thrilling win that the team posted over the Bangalore team recently.

"Sometimes, after watching Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee films, don't we feel like going out there and fighting with somebody? Just like that, after watching Chennai Super Kings win the match, I feel like playing cricket," said the Tamil star during the launch of Chennai Rhinos, a celebrity team to play in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).

He'll get his chance soon as Kollywood stars prepare to fight it out with their counterparts in other industries in the cricketing field. Beginning on June 4, the CCL will have four teams. The final will be held on June 12 at Hyderabad.

7am Arivu audio expected in Mid June!

It is now confirmed that the next much awaited album of the year is Surya’s 7am Arivu is expected to release in Mid June and this has been informed by Music director Harris Jayaraj. There is a lot of buzz regarding the audio as the film is shaping under the super hit combo Surya and director AR Murugadoss.

It was earlier announced that the audio of Surya’s 7am Arivu is going to be released in March but it didn’t happen due to some obstacles. One of the big audio companies Sony BMG, which is riding high in K-town, has purchased the audio rights for a whopping amount.

Surya who aims to bring difference in each every role from film to another will appear in three different roles of a circus artist named Sanjay, a Chinese monk and a scientist named Anwar Basha. Kollywood’s gorgeous beauty Shruthi Haasan will be seen in the role of a scientist. The budget of this magnum opus is more than 45 crores.

Music is by Harris Jayraj and one can expect some best tracks in the album.

Surya will be performing nearly 10 astonishing feats live on stage along with some trained circus artistes which will be a special attraction of the audio launch.

Udhayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies is producing the film and the production house is making sure that everything in the film looks classy and elegant.
