Surya in Vetri Maaran's next?

National award winner, Vetri Maaran may just do a film with Surya. It will be produced by Cloud Nine movies and will have a budget that is estimated at 75 crores. Set against a temple background, it will be a period film that will tell the story of the struggle to build a temple by a group of individuals led by a charismatic hero. Surya heard the script and he was floored.

The actor is almost done with 7am Arivu but he has agreed to do a film with Hari next. He will do Vetri Maaran's project after the film with Hari. In the meantime, Vetri Maaran may finish Vada Chennai, since the script for this film was readied a long time ago. Word is that he has Silambarasan in mind for this role.

Nayanthara turns vegetarian for Sita

Actors showing extreme dedication to their roles at shooting locations, be it through their daredevil stunts without dupes, allotting extra time for the shooting and weight loss through extreme diet, are well-known! But what if someone turns pure vegetarian and even abstains from relationships for a role? This is what is happening in actress Nayantara's case!

The actress is currently shooting for veteran Telugu hero Balakrishna's mythological film Sri Rama Rajyam, in which she plays Sita, in Hyderabad. According to sources, the actress is on a strict vegetarian diet, having only home-made food during the shooting. Besides, she is not meeting Prabhu Deva during her shoots and is more or less cocooned in her five star hotel suite. It is heard that the she wants to get into the skin of the character Sita she is portraying on screen. Hero Balakrishna is also on a vegetarian diet.

Sri Rama Rajyam is almost complete and the shooting will be over by July. It is produced by Yalamanchali Sai Babu under the banner of Sri Sai Baba Movies. Ilaiyaraaja is scoring the music and the script is by Mullapudi Venkata Ramana.

Valayar Paramasivam Movie to start soon

'Janapriya Nayakan' Dileep's upcoming film Valayar Paramasivam, a sequel to Joshi-Dileep's film Runway, will soon start rolling. According to sources, the sequel will be directed by Joshi and Kavya Madhavan is the heroine.

Siby K. Thomas and Udaykrishna are behind the script. An action comedy, Valayar Paramasivam is produced by Dileep himself. More details are awaited.

Piaa Bajpai with Prithviraj in Master Movie

Amala Paul says no to Mollywood

Denying media reports that she would act opposite Prithviraj in a Malayalam film titled 'Indian Rupee' and directed by Renjith, 'Mynaa' girl Amala Paul has said she had no dates to accommodate for the film.

"It was true that I was approached to be part of the film. But the fact is that I had already allotted bulk dates to my earlier commitments. So I had no other option than saying no to the Mollywood project," she said.

Saying that she would however love to do a Malayalam film, Amala Paul says, "I started my acting career only from Mollywood. Though my priority is Kollywood now, I would do a Malayalam film if a meaty offer comes my way."

Amala Paul is currently busy shooting for Lingusamy's 'Vettai', which has Arya and Madhavan in lead roles. Besides, she is eagerly awaiting the release of Vikram-starrer 'Dheiva Thirumagal', directed by A L Vijay.

The actress was named for the award for her life like execution of the lead role in the new movie 'Gaddhama'.
