Mammootty starrer Chattambinaadu, directed by Shafi, is set to release by the end of this month. Produced by Madhavan Nair under the banner of Murali Films, the movie is scripted by James Albert, who has scripted a Mammootty film for the first time. The release date for the film hasn’t been given out but it is expected to release around the fourth week of this month.
Mammootty plays planter Virendra Mallaya, a 'goonda' with 37 criminalcases against him.
Once he goes to Chembanadu in Karnataka to buy a coffee plantation.The place is full of criminals, who are a law by themselves. VirendraMallaya, a criminal himself, takes on the other criminals in aclean-up operation!
Benny P Nayarambalam has written the story and screenplay. Mukeshplays an important role, along with Lakshmi Rai and Meenakshi two glamgirls in this action film laced with humour.
Says Shafi: "Mammooka will be speaking in Malayalam with a heavy Kannada accent and will be having a new look in this film."
Let us hope the Shafi- Mammootty team is able to score a hat trickof hits with Chattambinadu, a mass entertainer which will becompleted by December end.
